Firefox 3.6 is here!
Firefox 3.6 has some cool consumer facing features like Personas and a better Plug-in Updater, but developers have a lot to be excited about too. Developers will appreciate the increased stability, especially the work done to prevent crashes with third party software. There are also enhancements like improved JavaScript performance and optimizations to speed up everyday Web tasks to make web applications snappier. However, what developers will be most interested in are all the new features around CSS3 and HTML5 that bring the future of the Web to Firefox 3.6 today.
This is an exciting release because we have built on the progress we made with Firefox 3.5 just a few months ago and have implemented even more cutting-edge features that will make the Web experience more engaging and interactive than ever before.
Today’s Firefox 3.6 release and the upcoming mobile release of Firefox for Maemo are both based on Gecko 1.9.2 and bring a number of big features including:
- New CSS3 features: Improve your style with support for gradients, multiple backgrounds, pointer-events and more.
- Drag and Drop: It has never been easier to move files from your desktop to the Web. You can now drag content into the browser window and leverage the FileAPI for instant access to that content.
- File API: Support for the latest HTML5 specification allows Web applications to access local files and interact with them in new ways.
- Web Open Font Format (WOFF): Add a touch of typography to the Web with WOFF support, which makes even more possible than the existing support for OpenType and TrueType fonts.
- Device orientation: Discover new ways to manipulate and interact with Web content with access to the orientation of supported laptops and devices.

Gantry Framework Version 2.0
Dominion is the first template to use the next generation of the Gantry Framework, version 2.0, which includes powerful new features such as menu item control, RTL support, custom presets and many more. This is all on top of the first generation features, making Gantry the most noticeable, and far reaching feature of the template.
Gantry is, as a basic definition, A framework used for assembling, building and maintaining a RocketTheme template. It is an advanced platform for dramatically extending the capabilities of the entire theming system of Joomla.
6 Style Variations in High, Med and Low Modes
The theme has 6 unique style variations, 3 of which are light and the other 3 being dark. Each variant has 3 modes, High, Med and Low, which present different levels of detailing. Therefore, with a simple parameter switch, you can pivotally change the theme from a conservative to a vibrant design.
RTL Support
Template side RTL support from the Fusion menu to the Typography. This is in conjunction with Gantry version 2.0’s RTL support for the automatic flipping of the grid system.
If Joomla is set to RTL mode, in its language settings, the Dominion template will automatically adjust to its RTL layout. The modules will invert inside a row, such as showcase-a and showcase-f being in alternate locations; the various template elements such as the breadcrumbs and typography will also flip; and also the menu will adjust accordingly (ensure you are using the latest version of RokNavMenu however).

Fusion Menu
Fusion is javascript-based dropdown menu system, with extensive functionality. The menu itself is built on the rewritten core of the latest revision of RokNavMenu, the core application behind all RocketTheme menus.
Fusion offers a series of new abilities ranging from Menu Icons, Subtext support and much greater controls over the Multiple Column ability for dropdowns.
